Blaupunkt Rear-view Camera

LAS VEGAS (1/7/08) -- Blaupunkt debuted its first rear-view camera for automobiles at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show here today. The tiny color camera makes reversing and parking the car significantly easier and safer, and connects simply and quickly to a wide variety of in-car video and navigation display devices.

Blaupunkt's micro rear view camera is fast and simple to mount in the rear of nearly any vehicle, and displays a wide 138-degree viewing angle for an excellent of obstacles and traffic behind the car. It includes both 2 meter (6.5 ft.) and 8 meter (25.25 ft.) cables, each with a 3.5mm jack at the end for simple connection to a wide variety of display and navigation systems. When used with select Blaupunkt TravelPilot portable navgation devices, the rear camera view is displayed automatically when the car is shifted into reverse.

The Blaupunkt micro rear-view camera is highly resistant to water and temperature fluctuations, so it functions well in any weather. It will be available in the first quarter of 2008 from Blaupunkt dealers.
