New Face of Design For Hummer

Talk about hitting the ground running.  Fresh out of design school, three young designers are taking center stage at this week’s North American International Auto Show to showcase their very first on-the-job assignment.

The Big Assignment:  Come up with a vision for the future of off-road vehicles.

The Result:  The HUMMER HX Concept.

The trio - David Rojas, Min Young Kang, and Robert Jablonski - came up with a HUMMER like no other. Think Reconfigurable. Think removable roof panels, doors, and removable fender flares. Check out some of the photos in the tab to your right to see what we’re talking about.

It was a team effort from Day One.  All three young designers drew inspiration from one another while sketching up their own visions for the future of HUMMER. The final concept is based largely on one of the design sketches but, incorporates the best ideas from all three team members.

"Working as a team, you realize it’s more than one person influencing the vehicle,” said Rojas. “You can see the inspiration from each of our designs in the final concept vehicle.  We’re all proud to have the chance to see our sketches become reality."
