Delphi Corp. will demonstrate its latest vehicle electronics technologies at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show, Jan. 7-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), North Hall (#5206). Focused on a "Safe, Green and Connected" theme, Delphi has equipped eight show vehicles including a Chinese-made Chery vehicle, with the newest mobile electronics including active safety systems, security and controls, mobile communications & entertainment, electronic cooling, mobile internet connectivity and data connectivity products.

In addition to the show vehicles, Delphi has created a specially designed simulator that allows participants to experience active safety products like adaptive cruise control with stop & go, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning with pre-crash sensing and side alert. Delphi has also created a "must-see" concept cockpit system that is specially designed to optimize the driver's interaction with the controls of the vehicle by integrating the driver into the vehicle system.

 "Starting with the products that are coming out this year to those that will be rolled out over the next several years, we have assembled the strongest line-up of new mobile electronics ever to show visitors at our CES exhibit," said Jeff Owens, president of Delphi Electronics & Safety. "These are products that consumers are demanding in the areas of vehicle safety and mobile connectivity that automotive manufacturers are looking to seamlessly integrate into vehicles."

Delphi is also showing an array of electronics and communications technologies including: satellite radio and TV, navigation systems, media player, premium radio, dual-view display, all-hazard public alert radio, WiFi, Bluetooth, iPod and data connectivity.

Delphi's data connectivity systems, which include consumer ports, cables, hubs and header connections are the physical connectors that enable passengers to download MP3 music files from iPods and pen drives and listen to them through their audio system as well as view images stored on photo cards, play video games, charge cell phones, connect laptops and more.

At the show, Delphi is also introducing an expanded portfolio of electronics cooling systems that improve energy efficiency, noise reduction and performance. Innovative direct current (DC) axial fans, DC centrifugal blowers and other cooling products incorporate advanced air management technology that provides numerous benefits to both electronics manufacturers and consumers.

Jeff Owens, president of Delphi Electronics & Safety Division, will participate on a moderated panel entitled "Mobile on the Move: What's in Store for Car Electronics" on Monday, January 7, 2008, 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the LVCC, North Hall, N264. The panel is being moderated by Solomon Daniels, editor and associate publisher of Mobile Electronics.

 Delphi executives will host a media open house and reception at the Delphi exhibit on Monday, Jan. 7 starting at 3:30 p.m. at the LVCC, North Hall (Exhibit #5206). During the event, a host of Delphi experts will be available for interviews and demonstrations of the new mobile electronic technologies.
