JL Audio / Total Mobile Audio CES 2008 Product Launches

At CES 2008, JL Audio will introduce new products over a wide range of product categories:

HD Car Amplifiers: An all-new, ultra-high performance amplifier line offering unprecedented fidelity and efficiency in a very compact form factor. These amplifiers employ a revolutionary switching amplifier technology licensed exclusively to JL Audio for 12 volt applications. Invented at the University of California, and further developed by PowerPhysics of Newport Beach, California, this switching technology exceeds the fidelity of conventional linear amplifiers while drawing very little current and producing very little heat as a byproduct. Two models will be introduced at CES: a four-channel, 600 watt model (150Wx4) and a monoblock 600 watt model (600Wx1). Both feature JL Audio's legendary R.I.P.S. technology that maintains consistent power over a wide range of supply voltages and load impedances. Each model also features a comprehensive set of studio-grade signal processing functions as well.

TW5 Subwoofer Drivers: Ultra-thin (2.5-inch mounting depth) subwoofer drivers that utilize a patented JL Audio technology to permit long excursion and high power handling within a shallow platform. Two models will be introduced: a 12-inch (12TW5) and a 13.5-inch model (13TW5).

MX650 Marine Speaker Systems: A new coaxial speaker system aimed at making JL Audio's marine speaker technology available to a wider market. Priced lower than the industry leading "M" lineup and conventionally sized to directly replace most marine 6.5-inch speakers with no modifications.

New Look "M" Marine Speaker Systems: JL Audio's flagship "M" series marine speaker systems will now be offered in four distinct looks. In addition to the classic all-white look, a black/titanium variation of the classic look will be introduced. For those who prefer more aggressive styling, JL Audio offers a completely new grille treatment called "Sport" and offered in all-white or black/titanium combinations.

Marine Tower Systems: Enclosed speaker systems featuring JL Audio "M" series speakers and designed for tower installations in wakeboard boats or surface-mount installation in motor yachts. All-fiberglass construction with machined aluminum mounting systems that permit full rotation and quick disconnect for storage.

New ECS Power Wire: JL Audio will introduce a revolutionary (and patent-pending) convertible power wire that allows installers to stock one wire type for both positive and ground connections. An easily removed outer jacket converts the blue wire to clear or the red wire to black. The convertible design allows dealers to stock fewer SKU's of power wire, which has traditionally been a problem when buying positive and negative wire (since so much more positive than negative is typically used in a car).

New ECS Amplifier Connection Systems: JL Audio's popular amp connection kits will be upgraded with the new convertible power wire and be priced even more aggressively for 2008.

New Slot-Ported W3v3 PowerWedgeTM: A new line of slot-ported enclosed subwoofer systems, featuring JL Audio's potent W3v3 subwoofers. Aluminum bar-grilles provide stylish protection, while JL Audio's patented chamber-couple port design improves fidelity and reduces port noise problems.

Stealthbox® As always, several new Stealthbox® vehicle-specific subwoofer systems will be introduced.

Demo car: A Mustang GT, dubbed the "JL-350" will demonstrate the new 13TW5 subwoofers (three, two of the new HD600/4 amplifiers, EvolutionTM C5 component speaker systems and CleanSweep® OEM integration processors. The car was built by JL Audio's legendary show-car team of Bill Hamze and Gary Martin and will be available for in-car listening at the booth.

Total Mobile Audio T2 Amplifiers: The popular TMA amplifier line receives a comprehensive redesign with an all-new chassis and upgraded connectors.
