AUDIOVOX INTRODUCES A HEADREST SYSTEM WITH DUAL TOUCH SCREENS
Industry First Custom Touch Screen Headrest System
Las Vegas, NV - January 7, 2008 - Audiovox Corporation (NASDAQ: VOXX). Audiovox has raised the curtain on a break-through mobile video headrest system that they are calling a high-end solution with state-of-the art, high-tech features. "This system is the only one on the market that offers the touch screen format with a robust custom headrest program," commented Tom Malone, president, of Audiovox Electronics Corp.
The HR7008PKG includes with the 7-inch touch screens with integrated DVD players, it comes custom-installed with an OE fit and finish material, giving them a factory look. They are vehicle-specific, cover 15 car lines with over 250 applications. Users have a USB port and SD card slot that accommodate stored digital media, such as movies and photos. An iPod smart port plays iPod audio and video content via an optional interconnecting cable. The younger rear-seat passengers can play up to 16 video games, either singly or against each other via a "2-in-1" infrared, wireless remote/game control that manages the DVD player and games from a single device, resulting in less rear seat clutter. A/V input, 15-channel, FM modulator, wireless remote control and two infrared wireless headphones are included. MSRP: $1499.99.
Along with the HR7008PKG, Audiovox is marketing three new mobile video products designed to meet the needs of a broad demographic spectrum.
The VOD128A with 12-inch overhead monitor and DVD player, features an iPod smart port and easy-to-use touch button controls. A USB port and SD card slot accommodates stored digital media, such as movies and photos. Multiple AV1 / AV2 / AUX ports allow the user to play iPod audio and video content via an interconnecting cable (optional). An automatic day/night screen adjustment assures no-compromise images 24/7. A/V input, 15-channel, FM modulator, wireless remote control, dome lights, integrated wireless games and two infrared wireless headphones are included. Rounding out the VOD128A is a wired headphone jack and "pause to talk" control. Exchangeable covers available in shale and pewter. MSRP: $1099.00.
The VOD100 10-inch overhead monitor with integrated DVD Player, FM modulator, AV input, and wireless remote control. Two infrared wireless headphones and dome lights are included. Exchangeable covers available in shale and pewter. MSRP: $649.00
The VOD86 8.5-inch overhead monitor with integrated DVD Player has the same features as the VOD100 (except for screen size). MSRP: $499.00
