JENSEN MARINE OFFERS NEW WATERPROOF COMMANDER WITH REMOTELY MOUNTED TUNER/AMP MODULE
ELKHART, IN - January 1, 2008 - ASA Electronics/JENSEN® Marine is pleased to offer the MSR2007 Waterproof AM/FM/SIRIUS Satellite Radio Ready Stereo to the marine industry. This unit, with its high tech commander and separate tuner/amp module, is now currently available to boating professionals and enthusiasts.
The MSR2007 is developed from the ground up to meet the unique needs of the industry. The MSR2007 commander meets IPX6 waterproof standards and can be utilized in all exterior applications. It is built with a 1-1/4" slimline profile that enables easy installation, even in areas with limited space. This AM/FM stereo features full iPod® control, is SIRIUS satellite radio ready, and is developed without a CD player to minimize warranty exposure. The MSR2007 has large, user-friendly backlit buttons, a sunlight readable dot matrix LCD display, and a rubber keypad.
The MSR2007 tuner/amp module has a marinized construction featuring conformal coated circuit boards for corrosion resistance and a non-absorbing plastic PCB insulator. It meets IPX5 waterproof standards. The tuner/amp can be remotely mounted in any convenient location.
The MSR2007 has a two wire power system and features a low voltage audible warning that alerts boaters when voltage is low. The unit's zero memory current draw enables successful boat storage without running down the battery.
