New Antenna Meets AIS Requirements
Shakespeare announces AIS-ready antenna
In order to meet the USCG Automatic Identification System (AIS) requirements necessary for many commercial vessels, Shakespeare Electronic Products Group has introduced a new antenna. The 396-1-AIS is built specifically for AIS applications and is compatible with equipment from all leading manufacturers.
Shakespeare's 396-1-AIS has a center-fed, 1/2-wave coaxial sleeve, brass and copper element with a specially designed 6MHz bandwith and a maximum input capacity of 50 watts. The 4' antenna has a mast mounting sleeve and terminates with a SO-239 connector to accommodate various sizes of coaxial cable for longer runs. The antenna boasts heavy-duty construction to withstand the harsh marine environment.
Shakespeare is the leader in the design and manufacture of antennas for marine applications. Each fiberglass antenna is built with precision because the company understands that marine radio is only as good as its antenna. The company offers high-quality, reliable products for craft ranging from small bass boats to large commercial vessels.
The 396-1-AIS from Shakespeare Electronic Products retails for $145.95.
