Marine Antenna Line Expands with New Cellular Products

What you need to hook up your cell phone on your boat

Recognizing the popularity of onboard cellular telephones, Shakespeare has expanded its Galaxy antenna line with more high-quality cellular items. Two new, dual-band, 5412-series antennas for cellular use is just one example.

Electrically identical, the 3dB-gain, 5412-S (sailboat) and 5412-P (powerboat) models differ only in their mounting configurations. Both contain durable, hand-soldered, collinear-phased elements and brass choking sleeves for optimal performance. The extra sturdy, white fiberglass radomes are protected with Shakespeare's proprietary, high-gloss polyurethane finish that won't turn fuzzy or yellow in the sun.

The Galaxy product line is enhanced with other cellular items, such as the CDP-2 Dash Mount Connector-a device that provides a quick disconnect from the boat's cellular antenna. Other products also include a full selection of Shakespeare's CPA adapter cables to fit most popular-brand cellular phones.

The 5412-S sailboat antenna retails for $219.95, and the 5412-P powerboat model sells for $235.95. The CDP-2 Dash Mount Connector has a retail price of $13.95, and the CPA adapter cables start at $31.95 each.

Founded in 1897, Shakespeare is the world leader and innovator in fiberglass reinforced composite antenna technologies for military, commercial, and consumer markets. Copies of Shakespeare's catalogs of marine antennas and electronics products are available free by writing Shakespeare Electronic Products Group, 6111 Shakespeare Rd, Columbia, SC 29223, or by calling the company at 803-227-1590.
