Shakespeare Offers Marine Antennas for Sirius Satellite Radio
Digital, clear reception and many choices of programming
Satellite radio service is making its way to the marine industry, in part through a relationship between Shakespeare Electronic Products Group and Sirius Satellite Radio. Shakespeare will manufacture marine antennas that accept Sirius digital transmissions so boaters can enjoy high-quality radio onboard. Sirius Satellite Radio allows the listener to access 100 channels of digital entertainment, including 60 commercial-free music channels and 40 world-class sports, news and entertainment channels anywhere in the continental US and over 200 miles offshore. Sirius delivers the content through powerful satellites orbiting at high angles above the U.S.
"We're pleased to be working with Sirius Satellite Radio to help bring their services to the marine industry with our Galaxy® SRA-10 antenna," said Don Henry, director of Shakespeare's marine products group. "This technology is rapidly gaining popularity in the auto market, and now boaters will be able to enjoy 100% digital radio, too." "Shakespeare is the unquestioned leader in marine antennas and accessories, which makes it the perfect company to help deliver our service to boaters," said Walter Kerner, Sirius Satellite Radio Director of Special Markets.
The new antennas are available through Shakespeare retail outlets. Information on Sirius Satellite Radio can be found at www.sirius.com.
