New Connectors Allow Easy Coupling of Cell Phone to Antenna
Cell phone adapter easily hooks up your cell phone to ship's antenna
Today's boaters often want to improve the range of a portable cell phone by connecting it to a boat-mounted cellular antenna. Shakespeare has introduced the new CDP-2 Dash-Mount Connector to help make this connection process fast, easy and convenient.
The CDP-2 provides a fixed point for attaching one of Shakespeare's CPA cell phone adapter cables to an antenna. The CDP-2 mounts on the dash and attaches to the TNC connector at the end of the boat antenna's coaxial cable. Once installed, it allows the CPA adapter cable to be attached and detached as needed. A rubber cap protects the CDP-2 when not in use.
The CDP-2 features nickel-plated brass fittings and durable, UV-stable rubber. It works with all Shakespeare CPA adapter cables, which are available for the most popular cell phones, including Motorola, Nokia, NexTel, Ericsson, Kyocera, Panasonic, Audiovox, Samsung, Sanyo, LG, and Qualcomm.
Suggested retail price of Shakespeare's CDP-2 connector is $13.95. The company's CPA adapters start at $31.95 each.
