New VHF Antennas Are Ideal for Mast Mounting
For work boats, land bases, or aloft on other boats
Operators of workboats and land base communication stations often like to mast-mount their VHF antennas. However, not all VHF antennas can be easily installed in such a manner. Shakespeare now offers two new VHF antenna models that are designed specifically for easy mast-mounting.
Each model also has an extra-tough fiberglass radome to withstand the high winds and exposure associated with mast mounting.
The antennas come with a stainless steel ferrule and U-bolts designed specifically for mounting to masts and poles. Also included are 20' of low-loss RG-8X cable and a PL-259 connector. A 5-year warranty applies on both models.
Suggested retail price of the 8', 6dB Galaxy® 5325-XT VHF antenna is $172.95. The 4', 3dB Galaxy® 5400-XTM Little GiantTM VHF antenna retails for $162.95.
