Popular Filter Antenna Now Comes in Black
Black finish Eliminator® antenna added to Shakespeare line
Boaters who want clearer VHF communications around busy cities and harbors are opting for Shakespeare's EliminatorTM Series antennas, which minimize interference from pagers, land mobile radios and other signals near the marine VHF band. Now, with the introduction of a new Eliminator model, boaters have a choice in the color of these antennas.
Shakespeare's new Galaxy® 5226-FLT antenna provides the same performance benefits as its popular 5225-FLT, but it comes in a high-gloss black polyurethane finish, as opposed to the glossy white of the 5225-FLT. As a result, it can provide a better match with the décor of many boats. The 8' 6dB antenna features revolutionary filtering circuits built into the antenna itself. This means boaters no longer need bulky and expensive external filters to reduce the shrill squawks and squeaks of signals that interfere with the marine VHF band. The circuits also have almost no effect on antenna transmit performance, whereas the additional connecting cables used with external filters can decrease VHF system sensitivity.
The 5226-FLT features collinear-phased, 5/8-wave elements made of brass and copper for maximum range and efficiency. It comes with a stainless steel ferrule, 20' of RG-8X cable, PL-259 connector, an extra-tough fiberglass radome and a 5-year warranty.
Suggested retail price of the Shakespeare 5226-FLT is $267.95.
