New Marine TV Antenna Features Advanced Versatile Design

Innovative design for broadcast TV reception on your boat

No one-including boaters-wants poor TV reception ruining their favorite programs. The new SeaWatch® 2025 omni-directional marine TV antenna offers adjustable gain and many other innovative features that help achieve the best possible picture, regardless of conditions.

The system consists of a small control box with versatile mounting options and a 14-inch diameter antenna head that mounts to any 1-inch diameter pipe, extension mast or straight mount.

Amplification is adjustable for best picture quality. By turning a knob on the control box, boaters can increase the gain up to +20dB to better capture weak signals, or attenuate it to 0dB for stronger ones.

The system splits amplification into two circuits-one in the antenna head which amplifies +10dB, and another in the control box that adjusts from -10dB to +10dB. Thanks to this innovative approach, the SeaWatch® 2025 can avoid picture destabilization typically caused by over- or under-amplification of the signal. Another unique feature of the 2025 is that the control box provides for two signal inputs-one from the antenna head and another from an auxiliary source such as cable or satellite TV. When the 2025 is turned off, the control box automatically switches to the auxiliary input, allowing instant access to cable or satellite TV without the need for an external A/B switch. The control box offers many mounting options, including placement inside a standard receptacle/wall box, flush mounting in a wall, surface mounting on a wall or mounting on top of the TV set. It is also available separately as an upgrade to other Shakespeare SeaWatch® TV antennas, adding adjustable amplification and cable/satellite TV support.

The boater can purchase a separate control box for each of the TVs on his craft, allowing each to be tuned to a different channel while still preserving picture quality. Plus, the automatic auxiliary switch permits one TV to connect to the boater's existing cable or satellite service while another TV pills in the signal off the antenna head.

The sleek SeaWatch® 2025 antenna head boasts a weatherproof, non-fade exterior, and its solid state electronics feature corrosion-resistant construction. Also, the omni-directional design eliminates the need to constantly readjust the antenna's heading as the boat changes direction in the water. Other features include LED power indicators on the control box and antenna head, 30 feet of RG-59 low-loss coax and gold-plated F connectors. The 2025 runs on 12 or 24 VDC or 110 VAC, and an AC wall adapter is included. A 1-year warranty applies.

Suggested retail price of the SeaWatch® 2025 is $309.95. The control box alone, 2025-CP, retails for $149.95
