New Adapters Let More Types of Cell Phones Connect to Marine Cellular Antennas
Shakespeare's CPA (Cell Phone Adapter) cables hook you up
Many portable cell phone users want to connect to boat-mounted cellular antennas for a greater range and improved clarity in fringe areas. To help, Shakespeare has added several new models to its cell phone adapter line. Shakespeare's new CPA series adapters work with newer Nokia, NexTel, Qualcomm, Samsung, Kyocera, Samsung, Sanyo, Audiovox, Ericsson, and Panasonic cell phones.
Each adapter consists of a tough, flexible 5' cable with a connector on one end specific to its cell phone model. The other end has a female TNC connector that attaches to most marine cellular antennas. These adapters join Shakespeare's existing adapters for other Nokia and Motorola cell phones. With the addition, the company now offers adapter models for most popular cell phones.
Another new Shakespeare product that may be of interest to cell phone-using boaters is the Galaxy® 5410-XT Little GiantTM dual-band cellular antenna. This versatile antenna works with all current cellular modes and bands, including 800 MHz analog/digital and 1,800 MHz PCS.
Suggested retail price for each CPA adapter is $31.95. The Galaxy® 5410-XT dual band cellular antenna retails for $205.95
