Its design includes a collinear-phased, 5/8 wave array with two coaxial chokes to suppress cable radiation. Unlike other antennas, this ultra sturdy model doesn't require extra support brackets. When used with Shakespeare's extra heavy-duty Style 4187-HD ratchet mount, it is self-supporting, even in high winds and speeds.

Like all of Shakespeare's superior Galaxy series antennas, the 5399 is hand-assembled by skilled craftsmen using the finest materials. A high-gloss urethane finish ensures the fiberglass radome remains attractive for years. The chrome plated brass ferrule is polished to a mirror shine.
