Maretron to launch new products designed to make NMEA 2000® network data rich
Building on growing consumer demand for real time performance and open network capabilities in marine electronics, Maretron is showcasing five new NMEA 2000 products at its booth, C-96, at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Feb 16-20.

With the launch of the five new products detailed below, Maretron will offer its customers a stable of 11 electronic products, engineered to the NMEA 2000 standard, and offering plug and play ease
of use. Maretron expects to obtain NMEA 2000 certification of its new products in March and begin
shipping to retailers soon after. In addition, the new products will be available online at
www.maretron.com.
Using ultrasonic sensors, the WSO100 (Ultrasonic Anemometer/Outdoor Weather Station) measures humidity; barometric pressure; outside temperature; wind speed and direction even when tilted up to 30 degrees and has no moving parts to wear out or get caught in rigging. When used with Maretron's DSM200 display and SSC200 compass, boaters can view not only apparent but also true wind speed and direction, in addition to dew point and wind chill.
Maretron's EMS100, an engine monitoring system, plugs directly into engine wiring harnesses and converts analog signals, like water temperature and oil pressure, to the new marine digital nterface: NMEA 2000. The converted engine data can be networked and distributed, via a single cable, throughout the vessel for monitoring on any NMEA 2000-combatible display. And there is no need to refit analog devices because the EMS100 is compatible with existing instrument panels and key switches.
Lastly, by connecting the EMS100 with Maretron's DSM200 display and GPS100 antenna, boaters have a complete fuel computer capable of displaying gallons per hour and/or miles per gallon.
For boaters using SAE's J1939 digital format for engine data, Maretron introduces the J2K100 interface, which converts data to the NMEA 2000 standard and allows for distribution via the network to compatible displays throughout the vessel. J2K100 does not draw power from the J1939 network or transmit information over it, so there is no worry of interference with existing engine controls. Also, the J2K100 is easily connected to Maretron's GPS100 and DSM200 to form a fuel computer.
Maretron's tank level adapter, TLA100, is used to adapt commercially available tank senders to
the NMEA 2000 network and thereby enable distribution of tank level data to any NMEA 2000
compatible display. Furthermore, the TLA100 works with both the American standard (240-33 ohms)
and the European standard (10-180 ohms) and can be calibrated for any resistance between 0 and 300 ohms. The TLA100 works well with irregular shaped tanks and does not require boaters to switch from analog gauges.
Lastly, Maretron's rudder angle adapter, the RAA100, links commercially available rudder
senders to an NMEA 2000 network and allows for the distribution of rudder data to any onboard NMEA 2000 display. Like the tank level adapter, Maretron's RAA is compatible with both American and European standards and works with digital and analog displays.
