Raymarine Expands Line with Addition of Powerful Dual Function Navigation Display 4/16/2007
A60 Combines Advanced Chartplotting with HD DigitalÔ Fishfinder Technology
Merrimack, N.H. - April 16, 2007 - Raymarine, Inc., a world leader in marine electronics, today introduced the A60 Dual Function display with chartplotter and HD Digital TM Fishfinder. The fully-submersible, compact A60 features a 5.7 inch QVGA sunlight-viewable color display with split-screen functionality. The dual screen capability allows boaters to view multiple combinations of Raymarine's GPS chartplotting and digital fishfinder technology at the same time. The A60 is the perfect choice for center console and open cockpit boats under 30 feet.
"With the new A60, now a broader range of boaters can benefit from our award-winning display and HD Digital fishfinding technology," said Terry Carlson, president of Raymarine. "As with all of Raymarine's displays, the A60 provides bright color views in any condition, helping captains to not only stay on course, but also navigate towards more rewarding fishing grounds."
The A60 has Raymarine's patented HD Digital fishfinder technology when connected to Raymarine's DSM25 Digital Sounder Module, which is included in the A60 Chartplotter/Fishfinder System Pack. The remotely mounted DSM25 delivers superior depth sounder performance and offers unmatched fishfinder clarity and precision. HD digital technology allows the compact and powerful DSM25 to instantly adapt to changing water and seabed conditions, delivering a dramatically clearer picture than ordinary analog fishfinders, and enabling true "hands-free" automatic operation.
Also included with the product is the Navionics® Silver US Charts compact flash card which contains complete cartography for the continental United States, including the Great Lakes. The easy-to-read navigation charts feature superb detail, including tides and currents, shaded depth contours and spot soundings. The A60 is also compatible with Navionics XL9 Gold and Hot Maps USA formats.
In addition, the A60 features a RS12 12 Channel GPS Sensor, which is offered in a low-profile or standard pole mounting design, a NMEA 0183 interface and optional thru-hull or in-hull transducers. The A60 also comes with a standard yoke mounting bracket, and an optional flush mount kit is also available.
