Bang & Olufsen wins string of best brand awards

Having been selected as the most prestigious audio brand as well as the most prestigious video brand by the US-based Luxury Institute, Bang & Olufsen was awarded its third best brand award within a month as it was voted Best Car-HiFi brand by the readers of leading German car magazine auto motor und sport.

The renowned German car magazine auto motor und sport has named Bang & Olufsen best Car-HiFi brand in the Best Brand 2008 reader survey. Asking its readership to name the brands that they have the most confidence in, auto, motor und sport found that more than 60 percent of its readers were convinced of the singular quality of automotive sound systems from Bang & Olufsen. This score is all the more convincing given that 73 percent of all respondents declared an interest in car-fi, making this the highest rated car accessory category along with GPS systems

In a comment on the strong combination of consumer interest and confidence surrounding the Bang & Olufsen brand and car-fi products, auto motor und sport said that the future looks even brighter for Bang & Olufsen as the expiration of its exclusive agreement with Audi means that the company will soon be able to introduce its sound systems to other car brands.

The best car-fi brand award comes on top of two other brand awards bestowed on Bang & Olufsen in the last month. In the recently published 2008 Luxury Brand Status Index survey from the independent Luxury Institute, high net-worth consumers in the US rated Bang and Olufsen the most prestigious luxury audio brand and most prestigious video brand. It was the first time ever that one brand won both categories in the same year.
