New connection choices allow iPod enthusiasts to swiftly scan thousands of song files and listen to their music with the best sound quality and easier control.

KW-AVX810 Double-DIN A/V Multimedia Receiver
JVC Mobile's KW-AVX810, a double-DIN multimedia unit with detachable faceplate, has received the 2008 CEA Innovations Award for its extensive multimedia features and unique design. The receiver features a direct connection USB 2.0 for iPod audio which offers high-speed control during menu-surfing and between songs using the iPod's existing USB charging cable. The USB for iPod video connection is made available via a KS-U20 cable for the fastest in-vehicle iPod control possible. The USB port also charges iPod audio and video, and displays the album jacket artwork.

The 7-inch touch panel with proximity sensor offers an extensive split-screen display of searchable options, menus, song categories and album jacket, while artist lists are easily searchable simultaneously via a touch-slider menu during song play. The unit is available in March at an MSRP of $749.95.

El Kameleon KD-AVX44 A/V Multimedia Receiver
The El Kameleon Receiver with its cool, black-out faceplate and touch panel has returned to the spotlight and has captured the 2008 CEA Innovations Award for its sophisticated multimedia features and sleek design. Like the 7-inch KW-AVX810, the El Kameleon features a direct connection via USB for iPod. USB for iPod audio is controlled by a plug-and-play USB 2.0 port, offering high-speed control during menu-surfing, between songs. The cable also charges iPod audio and video, and displays the album jacket artwork. The unit is available in March at an MSRP of $549.95.

KD-AV7100 DVD/CD Receiver
The company's new KD-AV7100 DVD/CD Multimedia Receiver with motorized flip-out, 7-inch touch panel monitor includes its own iPod cable, providing a direct connection to iPod for video and audio playback. This included cable allows users to view iPod video files and listen to songs with high-speed file access and clear sound quality. The KD-AV7100 has an MSRP of $649.95 and ships in February.

KD-PDR40 and KD-APD49 CD Receiver
The KD-PDR40 CD Receiver features a direct connection to iPod, with 2-way iPod control, allowing control of song files and playback commands using the stereo or the iPod itself - all while keeping the iPod's battery charged. Once connected, the stereo's preset keys on the faceplate call out to the iPod's category selections, allowing quicker category access when control is switched to the head unit mode. The receiver comes equipped with iPod cable included, with an MSRP of $149.95 and is now shipping. The Arsenal Series is also representing the iPod-enhanced receiver as model KD-APD49 with an MSRP of $159.95.

KD-PDR80 and KD-APD89 CD Receiver
The KD-PDR80 CD Receiver features a direct USB for iPod 2.0 connection with front USB port for iPod/MP3 audio playback. USB 2.0 for iPod allows simple plug and play operation using the iPod's existing USB charging cable, requiring no additional accessories for connection. iPod enthusiasts will also benefit from high-speed song access and digital audio transfer which allows better sound reproduction using JVC's internal High Grade D/A converter. The receiver carries an MSRP of $209.95 and is now shipping. The Arsenal Series is also representing the receiver as model KD-APD89, with an MSRP of $229.95.
