Kicker's "Deadliest Catch" For The Day

KICKER employees recently spent the day with captain Phil Harris of the television series "Deadliest Catch", which kicked off a brand new season Tuesday nights on the Discovery Channel. With the crab season ended, Phil found time to visit the world headquarters in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
KICKER recently hooked up Phil and crew of the fishing vessel Cornelia Marie, one of the four ships featured in the hit show, with some serious sound. Besides crab, the ocean cruiser is also loaded with KICKER subwoofers, speakers, and amplifiers. KICKER dealer Safe and Sound of Anchorage performed the dirty work on the vessel.
Phil stopped in for a short visit to see the facilities, check out some of the operating procedures, and sign a few autographs.
"KICKER is, bar none, the absolute best when it comes to sound systems," he said. "I would keep the film crew of the Discovery Channel awake sometimes at night cranking up our system."
KICKER and Harris have future partnership plans beyond the boat installation, with talks of putting systems in his personal vehicles and his Harley-Davidson.
The new season of "Deadliest Catch" began April 15 on the Discovery Channel. The show, which focuses on the dangers of Alaskan king-crab fishing, consistently carries top ratings and is in its fourth season.
