DETROIT, January 22nd 2008 - Parrot, leader in wireless peripherals around the mobile phone, announced today it will supply hands-free Bluetooth solutions to Kenwood, one of the world's leading manufacturers of car audio, video and navigation equipment. Kenwood selected Parrot for its expertise in Bluetooth, voice recognition and noise cancellation technology which is used in car audio, video and navigation worldwide.

Parrot will provide Kenwood with Bluetooth and Digital Signal Processing technology for several models of its 2008 car audio, video and navigation systems sold in Europe, Japan,Asia and North America.

Using Parrot's CK5050 modules, Kenwood will be able to integrate advanced telephony features such as voice recognition, noise reduction, advanced echo cancellation as well as phonebook synchronization. In addition, because the CK5050 module supports the Bluetooth A2DP profile, Kenwood customers will be able to stream music from their Bluetooth Stereo-enabled phones, iPods or digital audio players through their car audio, video and navigation systems.

Beyond the technical aspects of the agreement, Kenwood and Parrot will also cooperate in joint marketing efforts: In Kenwood catalogues, products will be presented as "Powered by Parrot", and will show the Parrot logo.
