The days of being afraid of the dark are officially over! Valhalla Enterprises Inc. (VEI) of Florida has unveiled a new product line of Night Vision Systems under the brand name OceanView. VEI, the longest tenured and most prolific manufacturer of Marinized LCDs and Computer platforms in the marine industry, has dedicated a third of their recently expanded manufacturing facility to the new OceanView Camera system.

OceanView cameras will be of special interest to any fisherman venturing out in the night or into hazardous navigational conditions. The OceanView line consists of five models designed to make use of multiple sensors such as thermal imaging and light intensification. The cameras will enable professional captains and novice boaters alike to conquer different environmental conditions encountered during night and day operation. OceanView cameras feature the trademark VEI rugged, commercial grade construction that has been the cornerstone of success for VEI over the past 20 years. The Apollo system, considered entry level for OceanView, offers the flexibility of two sensors - something only found in other manufacturer's high-end products. The Apollo is standard equipped with two independently viewable sensors: a thermal imager (capable of operation in complete darkness) and an ultra low light imager (designed to intensify low ambient light in conditions such as dusk, poorly lit harbors or rain). The system will be ideal for center-consoles swordfishing the Florida Straits or custom battle wagons making the run to Central America. Imagine the advantage of a clearer view of a distant cyalume stick or the ability to avoid disastrous floating debris while cruising home.

The OceanView flagship is Zeus. With standard thermal, ultra lowlight, and color daytime telephoto cameras coupled with image stabilization via a small form fiber optic gyro, the Zeus is the ultimate night vision system. Zeus is ideally equipped for nighttime navigation, security or search & rescue. Throw in the capability to track radar targets, targets in motion such as a distant flock of birds or thermal targets such as a man overboard over a 1000' away, and you have a system that revolutionizes safety at sea.
