Visteon brings new innovative mobile electronics to CES

Supplier unveils new demonstration vehicle, expands connectivity capability and acknowledges key technology contributors

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7, 2008 - Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) is showcasing a variety of mobile
electronics innovations - from interior ambient lighting with 20 different color choices to a technologyfilled "promotype" vehicle developed jointly with 3M - during this week's International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

The ambient lighting technology enables consumers to customize a vehicle's interior illumination to
match their personality, mood or driving occasion. The Visteon solution is the first OEM-integrated
technology that allows the consumer to personalize interior lighting through tri-color LED lamps. The
system features powerful, compact LED modules that illuminate the vehicle's front footwells with any of 20 pre-programmed color options.

Visteon and 3M introduced a demonstration vehicle featuring technologies that are based on the
discovered desires of automotive consumers. The vehicle features more than 50 innovative
technologies addressing six social trends: comfort, connectivity, convenience, health, flexibility
(individualism), and sensory.

Visteon's exhibit is located in the Central Plaza, CP7, outside the Las Vegas Convention Center. CES runs through Jan. 10.

The Visteon exhibit features mood-setting vehicle interior styling applications, connectivity innovations, audiophile-quality sound systems and other interior applications such as iPod® connectivity.

• Quick-to-market vehicle accessories

Visteon also has an automotive aftermarket booth focusing on specialty automotive electronics

Visteon exhibit and demonstration vehicle key contributors

Using Red Bend Software's Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) update technology, Visteon will demonstrate a new capability of its Hands-free Phone system. The technology allows fast and secure wireless upgrades of the phone system's software, which uses BluetoothTM, to provide consumers with a new feature - the ability to stream songs from the mobile phone through the vehicle's audio system. By integrating FOTA into the Hands-free Phone, Visteon can now provide automobile consumers with fast continuous feature upgrades from anywhere.

NXP Semiconductors provides the Music+ multi-media personalization software via a unique set of
audio analysis algorithms known as PARC (Personal Audio Radio Channels), which enables users to
record and create personalized playlists from the radio or personal media. The user can select "Same Artist" or "Similar Music" and the playlist will populate automatically based on what is currently playing.

Immersion provides the technology behind the haptic feedback for the Integrated Center Panel. Haptic feedback - a tactile vibration like a pulse - lends a more natural button feel and let the user know his or her command is being processed.

TouchSensor provides the near field sensors for the Integrated Center Panel and the InSkinTM glove box switches. Solid-state near field sensors eliminate the need for mechanical buttons, which leads to improved craftsmanship by eliminating gaps and NVH concerns.

Cypress Semiconductors provides the capacitive proximity sensing technology for the Integrated
Center Panel and Map Pocket Smart Lighting. These sensors activate LEDs that illuminate the ICP
switches and map pocket when a user's hand is nearby.

Reell Precision Manufacturing integrated its ReellTorq® friction hinge devices to hold the dualaccess
console lid in any position and allow the user to open and flip the console lid to access interface
port for electronic devices such as USB sticks and MP3 players.

Parrot provides the Bluetooth® wireless connectivity solutions for hands-free phone, voice recognition, and audio streaming solutions.

Advanced Design Systems (ADS) created the dead front appliqué for the Integrated Center Panel.
The dead front appliqué creates a sleek, pleasing appearance when unlit, and, when illuminated,
stylishly presents the climate, audio and multimedia controls for easy user interaction.

SuperImaging provides the multi-color laser projection windshield display system. This Head Up
Display (HUD) projector presents useful driver and vehicle information to the driver and vehicle
passengers.

3M, together with Visteon, retrofitted a popular commercial vehicle to create a high-tech demonstration promotype featuring more than 50 innovative technologies that address six social trends: comfort, connectivity, convenience, health, flexibility (individualism), and sensory.

Visteon Corporation is a leading global automotive supplier that designs, engineers and manufactures innovative climate, interior, electronic and lighting products for vehicle manufacturers, and also provides a range of products and services to aftermarket customers. With corporate offices in Van Buren Township, Mich. (U.S.); Shanghai, China; and Kerpen, Germany; the company has facilities in 26 countries and employs approximately 43,000 people.
