Merrimack, N.H. -May 19, 2008 - Raymarine, Inc., a world leader in marine electronics, congratulates Captain Scott Leon's Team Rock Star on their incredible comeback victory at the World Sailfish Championship on April 19, 2008. Attracting more than 800 anglers fishing on 101 boats, this year's championship marks the fifth straight year that Raymarine has been the exclusive marine electronics sponsor of the Key West tournament.

Leon's team began the third and final day of fishing in fifth place with only hours to make the final releases. The team posted nine sailfish releases during the first two days of fishing, adding six more on the third day. The team made the 15th and final release at 10:21 a.m. winning on earliest time after three boats ended the tournament with 15 sailfish releases.

Jorge Piedra, owner of Team Rock Star's Raymarine outfitted boat, endured hours of nerve-wracking anticipation. "I couldn't believe it," said Piedra on the incredible comeback victory. "We started the day in fifth place then caught six fish before 10:30 a.m. to put us in the lead." Jorge attributes the win to his team of expert anglers and experienced captain as well as the top of the line electronic equipment aboard the vessel.

The team fished on board a 39' See Vee center console equipped with three Raymarine E-Series multifunction displays. Each display was networked with an HD Digital^TM DSM300 sounder module, 10kW radar and ST60 instruments.
