The basket is black powder coated heavy gauge steel for maximum rigidity and minimal flex to handle the 150 oz. double stacked strontium magnets and motor structure. Platinum block terminals are used for maximum continuity and so they won't vibrate loose from the massive bass. The cone is non-pressed for greater rigidity and less cone flex. A rubber protective gasket covers the motor structure protecting it from chips and damage. Dual 3", 4-Ohm, black, copper wound voice coils handle the 350 watts RMS you can give this woofer. The XE series works great in either sealed or ported applications and carries a full 3 year warranty.
