Maretron, who continues to break new ground in NMEA 2000® networking technology announces a new low priced version of their PC vessel monitoring software.

PHOENIX, July 10, 2008 - Maretron, a leading developer and manufacturer of marine networked
electronics, today announced a low cost version of its comprehensive vessel monitoring software.
Previously, Maretron only offered a high end, PC based solution of its vessel monitoring software called N2KView® Platinum with an MSRP of $2995. The Platinum version's current and planned feature set includes the ability to view all NMEA 2000® data, program alarms (capable of sending text messaging, email, or controlling an electrical device based on an alarm), view integrated video or cameras, logging, and the switching of electrical circuits. Whereas, the newly offered low cost version (MSRP $995) only supports viewing of NMEA 2000® information, excluding the display of fuel management functions like Distance to Empty, Time to Empty, Engine Total Fuel Rate, Total Fuel Economy, Total Fuel Remaining but including individual engine fuel rate and fuel economy.

"The low cost version of N2KView is still completely user-configurable and users are free to design
different screens to their exact requirements", says Rich Gauer, president of Maretron. "Digital displays, analog gauges, graphical displays, warning lights, bar graphs - all can be configured exactly as desired; even the operating limits and color bands for analog gauges are configurable." The low cost version, like the Platinum version, operates locally on the vessel or allows the vessel to be monitored from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection back to the boat.
