Unique Interfaces Offer Ability to Integrate Aftermarket Accessories 11/03/2008

OXNARD, Calif., (November 3, 2008) - Scosche Industries, the innovator of mobile electronic products and accessories for the aftermarket, offers complete iPod integration products designed for  OEM (original equipment manufacturer) options.  The next step in aftermarket installations, Scosche offers custom kit, factory fit dash kits, plug and play harness adapters, video interfacing systems, and now Scosche makes it possible to integrate aftermarket accessories into vehicles including those using the GM LAN, CANBUS and MOST network systems.

Scosche's iPod integration products allow simple aftermarket upgrades for factory radios that enable users to easily use an iPod with their factory stereos.  These unique interfaces are researched and designed to add iPod integration and an auxiliary input for any external audio device allowing greater control and consumer choices for an aftermarket installation.

According to Kas Alves, executive vice president, Scosche Industries, "in today's newer vehicles many factory functions are connected directly to the factory radio.  Our iPod interfaces allow consumers to upgrade their system without losing factory functions."

Scosche's auxiliary iPod interfaces create an auxiliary input on a factory stereo for any iPod model and integrates full iPod controls at the factory radio, plus allows full scrolling text, menu options, seek up-down and volume control.  They also retain the factory OnStar and factory XM radio functions.   These new iPod interfaces will retail at $199.99 and include:

  • AXIPTA -2004-upToyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles
  • AXIPCL2 - 2000-up select Class 2 vehicles
  • AXIPGMLAN - 2007-up General Motors LAN
  • AXIPHA - 2006-up select Honda vehicles

""We introduced our first interfaces last year, and they have proven to be a useful and necessary accessory for anyone installing an aftermarket unit in many newer vehicles," continued Alves. "We are pleased to add additional interfaces to our integration interfaces. We have a solution for the most popular cars on the road to enable anyone to upgrade their factory radio."

Scosche also manufactures auxiliary input interfaces that will create an auxiliary input on a factory stereo for an MP3 player or auxiliary audio accessory.  These include both auxiliary input interfaces and CAN-BUS interfaces.  Auxiliary input interfaces include:

  • AXCR - 1995-up Chrysler vehicles
  • AXFD -1995-up Ford
  • AXGM - 1995-up General Motors
  • AXHA2 - 2003-up Honda/Toyota

Scosche's auxiliary input interfaces will allow integration with a factory head-unit enabling connectivity with an external audio or video source.  Scosche's auxiliary input interfaces are designed for the discriminating consumer who wants to add additional components to their vehicle's system without removing the factory radio and its functions.  The auxiliary input interfaces come with RCA inputs and cables for a simple installation.
