Memphis Car Audio SClass Flat Subwoofer Wins Innovations Award

Patents are pending

Memphis, Tenn. - The Consumer Electronics Show Innovations Design and Engineering Awards program recognizes the most innovative consumer electronics products in the industry's hottest categories. This award has become a hallmark for the best designed products in consumer technology. The honorees will be featured during the January 2009 show in a special display at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. Memphis Car Audio is a winner this year in the In-Vehicle Audio category, recognized for innovation in their SClass Flat Subwoofers. Their first Innovations Award came in 2001 for the Memphis Five Channel Amplifier. In 2004, Memphis was honored again with two more for the Modular M3 Subwoofer and their Multi-Synchronous Component Speakers.

"We are proud to add another Innovations Award to our trophy case, especially for the flat sub since it has been so well-respected by the true audiophiles."

Memphis has devised a new method of attaching the spider to the voice coil that improves both durability and sound quality. Patents are pending on voice coil heatsink and aluminum heatsink mounting systems. The new configuration pulls maximum heat away from the voice coil to help prevent damage under extreme conditions. The reinforced spider controls movement for accurate sound performance and reliability.

The SClass woofers offer rich bass in a small package. Just 3" deep, they allow you to squeeze big boom into outfits where it wouldn't otherwise be possible, proving that bigger isn't always better.

Visit the Memphis Car Audio Booth # 3718 in the LVCC North Hall at CES in January to check out the latest products and meet two-time Formula Drift champion Tanner Foust and legendary race car driver Stephen Papadakis.
