20th May 2008, ALK Technologies has announced that its award-winning Windows Mobile-based smartphone navigation system, CoPilot® Live^TM 7, is now available for Symbian S60 3rd edition and UIQ-based smartphones.

Owners of a wide range of smartphones, including the latest Nokia and Sony Ericsson models, can now enjoy CoPilot Live's full-featured turn-by-turn satellite navigation experience.

The system is supplied on a single memory card that installs automatically onto any Windows Mobile or compatible Symbian phone. Set-up is made simple thanks to automatic GPS configuration that recognises a phone's internal GPS receiver or connects to an external receiver via Bluetooth.

CoPilot Live 7 offers the same easy to use, dependable navigation experience irrespective of the phone that it is running on. Simply enter a destination, for example a house number, street or point of interest, and CoPilot Live will take you straight there with turn-by-turn voice instructions, 2D or 3D maps views and automatic route calculation.

The system is available with detailed NAVTEQ maps of a single Country or the whole of Europe preloaded on the memory card, making it easy to roam wherever you like without having to worry about directions.

You can share your location live on the web with others as you move around, while they can send you messages and new stops. Its never been easier to stay in touch and connected on the move.
