Nav N Go adds to its in-house map data range as it introduces map data solutions for two additional Asian countries and one additional South American country in the Tower Suite at The Mirage Hotel during 2009 International CES in Las Vegas. This announcement further strengthens the Hungarian navigation software company as it increases its global map coverage.

Chile Map Considerably Expands Map Coverage of South America

After the launch of Colombia and Argentina maps in 2008, Nav N Go has continued to focus on increasing coverage of South America. As a result of this focus, Nav N Go today  announces a new map for the Republic of Chile. The first product version is expected in the first quarter of 2009, which will open the doors for several manufacturers to launch navigation products in one of the most dynamically developing South American markets. With approximately 115,000 km of road and over 61,000 Points of Interest, this additional South American map enables a well-planned and problem-free travel option for Chile.

China Mapping Solution Includes Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau

Nav N Go also announces the availability of its China mapping solution, based on Tele Atlas maps of Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.* Nav N Go iGO 8 offers Chinese Cantonese and Chinese Mandarin voice guidance as well as Traditional and Simplified Chinese as menu languages. The solution is completed by the localized keyboard and  

handwriting recognition software. In addition, hundreds of 3D landmarks for Mainland China are also available from the Tele Atlas portfolio.

*The map publishing process is controlled by Chinese authorities and requires encryption of the mapping data.

Nav N Go Partners with MapmyIndia to Offer Indian Maps

A Nav N Go mapping solution is now also available for India. Due to special regulations on a national level, Nav N Go has partnered with India-based MapmyIndia to offer the navigation map data for the country. MapmyIndia is India's leader in premium quality digital map data and delivers the most comprehensive and reliable navigable map dataset for the country.

The India map supported by Nav N Go covers 202 cities at a detailed street level, over 600,000 km of roads connecting 130,000 towns and villages; and almost 450,000 POIs.

Product Demonstrations of Naviextras.com and Naviextras^TM Toolbox

The Hungarian navigation software provider recently launched its map and content update portal, www.naviextras.com, and the associated Naviextras Toolbox PC software. Easy to use Naviextras combines a service platform for map and software updates, extra maps (currently over 60 countries available), 3D content for all countries and a navigation user forum. Nav N Go delivers product demonstrations to navigation partners and international media during 2009 International CES.
