With more than 140 million homes connected with broadband Internet consumers are accustomed to being connected wirelessly throughout their day. Our digital lifestyle culture has become heavily serviced.  Every where we go we can access the Internet except while in our cars. And until now, no one has been able to deliver seamless Internet connectivity to the car.

Founded four years ago in San Francisco Autonet Mobile has changed all that. The company identified a need: in-car entertainment systems based on the Internet. And, as a result, is delivering the first Internet service for the car through the automotive after market. Overcoming technical and physical barriers, the company successfully designed an in-car wireless Internet service for consumers that is easy to use, reliable, secure and fast.

The Autonet Mobile Service

Autonet Mobile's service provides continuous connectivity for every passenger in the car. The Autonet Mobile WiFi router turns the car into a WiFi hotspot giving passengers immediate access to the Internet.

With Autonet Mobile, the in-car multimedia experience leaps forward, with connectivity that delivers high speed Internet. No longer is content restricted to DVDs, cds, etc. brought into the car, but instead entertainment is based on social media and interactive engagements -- email, chat, games, Internet and video. Any WiFi-enabled laptop, handheld, or video game console will work with Autonet Mobile. And more than one device can be used at the same time so that multiple passengers can easily connect to the Internet at once.

Autonet Mobile is specifically designed for the in-car experience, with its varied topography and geography. Passengers can chat, email, or play games without being dropped from the network, whether the car is on a city street, passing through a detour, in a tunnel, or anywhere else you need to go.

How It Works

The size of a small notebook (7x7 inches) and weighing less than 12 ounces, Autonet Mobile offers seamless connectivity through its patent-pending TRU Technology. The service has intelligent, dynamic automatic session management between high/low speed networks, which provides an even, reliable user experience. TRU Technology makes connecting to the Internet easy and secure, eliminating the "Dropped Call Syndrome" suffered by vehicles. Autonet Mobile's TRU Technology manages and maintains sessions within the vehicle 24x7 and automatically fixes network issues and reports them to our Customer Service Center.

Autonet Mobile runs over integrated 3G and 2.5G (EVDO, 1xRTT) cellular data networks, the router module with antenna hard-mounts in any vehicle. High-speed Internet access ranges from 300-800 Kbps/sec., with upload speeds averaging 400 Kbps/sec. The WiFi connection is secured with WEP encryption, MAC address restriction or WAN port restriction. Compatible with all operating systems supporting WiFi including Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris, no special software is required.

Chrysler

Autonet Mobile has teamed up with Chrysler LLC to bring families uconnect web^TM - the first Internet service for vehicles. Now available at more than 3700 Mopar® Dealerships uconnect web is can easily be installed as an accessory on all Chrysler, Jeep_® and Dodge vehicles. Mopar Dealerships will install uconnect web in all types of vehicles. Secure and reliable high-speed Internet connectivity enhances the customer experience by providing entertainment and real-time information access to all vehicle passengers. uconnect web is priced at $499 with monthly service for multiple users at $29.

SportChassis

SportChassis offers Autonet Mobile Internet as a featured option on their custom hauler vehicles to both new and existing customers.  SportChassis has a wide range of customers - from RV's, equine and weekend enthusiasts - all looking for an Internet solution that is versatile, easy to use and affordable.
