Demonstrating emphasis on empowering the ever-growing mobile population with location information, Tele Atlas will showcase the following technologies and programs at CTIA as well:
• Traffic Products: Traffic information is quickly becoming a "must have" digital map feature, encouraging daily use of navigation systems, portals and other traffic-influenced applications. As users travel on familiar and unfamiliar routes, historical and real-time traffic information enables them to save time by selecting the least congested route and increase their travel-time accuracy. Tele Atlas will demonstrate how powerful, accurate traffic information can enhance navigation applications and devices.
• Tele Atlas® 3D City Maps: Highly detailed Tele Atlas 3D City Maps, landmarks and elevation models add recognizable building and landscape representations that enhance end users' navigation experiences and are designed for use in navigation systems and location-based applications. Detailed information about Tele Atlas 3D City maps and examples of the newest mapped landmarks can be viewed at the press kit link listed above.
• Tele Atlas DeveloperLinkSM: Designed to provide Internet, mobile and other next-generation application developers access to technology, business tools and services that can help reduce their time to market and increase their potential for success, Tele Atlas DeveloperLink provides the business and technical expertise developers require to build and market navigation and location-based solutions. • Tele Atlas Urban Maps: Designed to help LBS developers meet pedestrian-specific challenges for users of mobile devices, Tele Atlas Urban Maps help enable solutions with premier out-of-car content to orient pedestrians in city centers whether they are at home or abroad.
• Mobile Mapping Technology: Through roof-mounted 360 degree cameras and laser sensors, Tele Atlas' fleet of innovative Mobile Mapping Vans quickly and efficiently capture information about a road including lane counts, speed limits and other data, giving Tele Atlas the information it requires to regularly update its maps.
