APAC COO Mark Steele to deliver presentation offering insight on the next generation of digital mapping and personalized navigation

Singapore, June 12, 2008 - Tele Atlas (FSE: TA6, EUNV: TA), a leading global provider of digital maps and dynamic content for navigation and location-based solutions, is teaming with its industry-leading partners at CommunicAsia 2008 in Singapore next week (June 17-20) to demonstrate a range of innovative personal navigation (PNAV) applications and location-based services (LBS) designed to empower increasingly mobile consumers to negotiate the world with a greater degree of knowledge, convenience and safety.

"Digital maps are enriched with more and more dynamic information as consumers are using devices to create custom navigation experiences with increasing personalization and connectivity. We are excited to help our partners deliver innovative devices and services richer than ever before in location-based information," said Tele Atlas APAC COO Mark Steele. "Asia is a vital market where we expect continued adoption of navigation technology and the rapid growth of map-enabled wireless applications spurred by the region's young, connected and increasingly affluent population. We are excited by the momentum in the region and look forward to further driving the next generation of digital mapping, together with our industry partners."

At CommunicAsia in stand #3N4-01, Hall 3, Tele Atlas and its leading navigation industry partners are demonstrating a range of consumer navigation and location-based applications and industry leading devices including Mio, ASUS, deCarta, Garmin, Geotel (Tibo), MyGuide, PTV, TomTom and Wayfinder Navigator (featured in Sony Ericsson mobile phones).

Demonstrating continued commitment to innovation, Tele Atlas will also showcase the following technologies and programs at CommunicAsia:

§ Mobile Mapping Technology: Through roof-mounted 360 degree cameras and laser sensors, Tele Atlas' fleet of innovative Mobile Mapping Vans quickly and efficiently capture information about a road including lane counts, speed limits and other data, giving Tele Atlas the information it requires to regularly update its maps. The vans also collect images of streets, storefronts, road signs and complex intersections that can be incorporated in maps to help users more easily find locations. Currently, the Mobile Mapping Van is deployed in Taiwan and Singapore.

§ 3D Map Content: Highly detailed Tele Atlas 3D map features, include 3D Landmarks and Digital Elevation Models. These add recognizable building and landscape representations to enhance end users' navigation experiences and are designed for use in navigation systems and location-based applications.

§ Tele AtlasTM Map Insight: Through the Map Insight application, which provides end users of Tele Atlas' partners' products with a fast and simple method for reporting changes, this Web-based tool enhances Tele Atlas's comprehensive change detection and management processes with input from the community, to help ensure accuracy and freshness.

§ Tele Atlas DeveloperLinkSM: Designed to provide Internet, mobile and other next-generation application developers access to technology, business tools and services that can help reduce their time to market and increase their potential for success. Tele Atlas DeveloperLink provides the business and technical expertise developers require to build and market navigation and location-based solutions.

Steele will be presenting on the topic "Personalization of Navigation to Enhance the Mobile User Experience" at the conference on Tuesday, June 17 at 4:00 pm, providing insight on the next generation of digital mapping and navigation technology.
