Bluetooth and Backup Camera for 2009 Porsche Cayenne and 997 PCM3

NAV-TV®, the industry leader in vehicle network integration technology for infotainment and telematics device optimization, announced today an engineering breakthrough that will enable a multi-featured integration interface designed specifically for 2009-up model year Porsche vehicles equipped with the PCM3 radio platform. This new solution enables seamless activation of Bluetooth hands-free and the addition of an aftermarket backup camera to the factory multimedia system while providing control directly from the factory head unit.

All Porsche vehicles equipped with the PCM3 radio have support for hands-free Bluetooth telephony however they do not function unless they were ordered from the factory with this specific feature enabled. The interface also enables the factory backup camera input so it can be retrofitted with an aftermarket camera that functions just like the automaker intended. These features currently cannot be activated by Porsche dealerships. The PCM3BT enables Bluetooth hands-free telephony as designed by Porsche and the radio manufacturer. This solution provides hands-free and complete phone book synchronization for wireless phones with equipped with Bluetooth. The interface also enables the factory installed microphone and includes the necessary wiring harnesses to connect to the microphone and the radio.

"At NAV-TV we continuously search for opportunities to add consumer electronics to automobiles where the automaker either does not provide the technology or there is an opportunity to enhance the existing technology." stated Moni Melman, NAV-TV's CEO.
