JENSEN Launches Bluetooth Products For Enhanced Connectivity And Safety

New line features High-Tech Safety and Convenience Options
LAS VEGAS - International CES, Booth 11006-1050 - January 7, 2009 - Audiovox Corporation (NASDAQ: VOXX). Jensen has expanded its commitment to connectivity, the cornerstone of their mobile multimedia products, by adding new BluetoothTM systems to the line. The 2009 multimedia radio line includes more out of the box connectivity and more connectivity options than any system on the market today. Bluetooth is important to Americans because states are requiring hands-free technology for cell phone use in vehicles and if drivers ignore the rules, the fines can be substantial. Jensen's new line of Bluetooth safety products open new profit opportunities for retail partners and provide consumers with new safety options to protect themselves and their passengers.

"During 2009 the company will launch five new products with solutions that will include LCD screens with clear, sharp day/night vision, phone books that hold up to 300 numbers, voice recognition and status indicators for battery and signal levels and Bluetooth connection status," said Tom Malone, president of Audiovox Electronics Corporation. "We also made installation simple with an FM modulator that allows you to select an open frequency and wirelessly transmit audio on a portable music player plugged into the JC100 to the vehicle's radio, completely eliminating the need to wire into the vehicle's audio system."

New Bluetooth iPhone® and iPod® BluetoothTM Mobile Hands-Free Interface System

Leading the line is the only aftermarket Bluetooth product compatible with the iPhone, the JC100 iPhone and iPod Bluetooth Mobile Hands-Free Interface System. It is designed to fit in virtually any vehicle without the need for adapters or mounts and will not block the driver's view. The JC100 sits in a vehicle's cup holder and the driver can move it between vehicles. Anyone with an iPhone, iPod Touch® or iPod can use it to listen to music through the car radio, charge their iPod device and utilize the Bluetooth hands-free interface with the iPhone or any phone with this capability.

With it, the driver can listen to iPhone, iPod and Nano® music through the FM stereo receiver in the vehicle without wires, interfaces or adapters. The "Dock and Charge Your iPhone, iPod, and Nano" feature is a true "Made for iPod" device which eliminates battery life problems.

There is no need for an adapter to run more than one device from the power outlet. The driver can plug a phone, BlackberryTM or MP3 player into the JC100's on-board charger jack. The JC100 plugs into the vehicle's 12-volt plug. Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price: $129.99.

"The JC100 not only give drivers the much needed safety feature of Bluetooth hands-free on their cellular phones, it also provides the maximum in convenience for their iPhone, iPod or MP3 players in a complete attractive and non-obtrusive footprint that includes accessories and does not require professional installation," noted Malone. "While it is the first of our standalone Bluetooth products to launch this year it is not the last look for a number of equally high tech safety and convenience products to debut throughout the year."

Over the next six months, the company will launch several new models in a Bluetooth Car Kit line with A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) Music, Text to Speech, Caller ID and wireless controls. Some models will include Caller ID and wireless controls and wired remote controls. For the latest news on the Audiovox family of brands, visit http://www.AudiovoxNews.com .
