Online voting is now open for Best in Show Award
CTIA Wireless 2009WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Finalists for the 4th Annual 2009 CTIA Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards were announced today and online voting is now open for the coveted Best in Show Award. International CTIA WIRELESS 2009® takes place April 1-3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. All award submissions will be on display in the E-Tech Awards Showcase, located prominently in the South Hall, Booth 114.
For the first time, CTIA has established a micro-site dedicated to featuring all of the innovative and cutting edge products submitted in this year's contest. Using this site, anyone can go to http://cts.businesswire.com/ct/CT?id=smartlink&url=http%3A%2F%2Fctiait.ctia.org%2FeTechw2009public&esheet=5924837&lan=en_US&anchor=http%3A%2F%2Fctiait.ctia.org%2FeTechw2009public&index=1 to select their favorite entrants, all of which are eligible to win the Best in Show Award.
Online voting for Best in Show will end on Monday, March 30th at 5:00 p.m. EDT. At that time, CTIA will begin accepting text votes via common short code. Each product on display in the E-Tech Showcase will be assigned a code and CTIA participants can vote for their favorite product by texting the associated code to 868464 (VOTING). The entry that receives the highest total in online and text votes will win Best in Show.
All first, second and third place award winners, as well as the Best in Show winner, will be announced at the E-Tech Awards Ceremony, taking place April 2, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. on the South Hall Exhibit Floor Stage.
"Every year the CTIA E-Tech award winners indicate which new technologies and services are shaping the wireless industry," said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director for CTIA. "We received nearly 300 entrants this year, making judging extremely competitive. CTIA congratulates the finalists, and we look forward to seeing the results of the first ever integrated text and online voting for Best in Show."
