PNG RT Turns Ordinary Laptop PCs into Video Streaming Devices For Journalists

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PNG Laboratories, LLC http://cts.businesswire.com/ct/CT?id=smartlink&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pnglaboratories.com&esheet=5934353&lan=en_US&anchor=www.pnglaboratories.com&index=1 today announced the release of PNG RTTM which turns an ordinary laptop PC into a video streaming device for journalists. Created by legendary inventor Ken Schaffer-the wireless guitar, wireless microphone and placeshifting-specifically to give newspapers a distinct performance and cost advantage over traditional electronic media, this all software implementation gives newspapers the competitive edge over broadcasters.

"The news-hungry public is looking for immediacy. They want to see it now as it happens and not wait until it's processed and broadcast later," Schaffer said. "PNG RTTM enables newspapers to put live video on their web site in real time."

"As we hear every day, the economics of news and especially newspapers is rapidly evolving," said PNG CEO David Berman. "Many venerable newspapers are looking for ways to reinvent the ‘brand' they've earned over many years. This ability to inexpensively outperform the traditional electronic media gives them that opportunity."

PNG RTTM was designed with simplicity in mind and in cooperation with journalists. Its aim is to get the reporter up and running in no time, allowing him to focus on his craft and not on the technology which supports it. All necessary information is present in an intuitive, visually pleasing and uncluttered ATM-like interface that serves as a bridge between the user and the underlying technology for a fraction of the cost.
