Free Mobile Weather Notifications Available at Oklahoma's Official Web Site
OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Residents of Oklahoma can receive immediate access to National Weather Service alerts during severe weather season and throughout the year through the use of the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management's (OEM) Weather Notification System, located at http://www.weatheralerts.ok.gov. At no cost, subscribers can receive weather alerts for up to five counties sent to their email address and/or mobile device (cell phones, PDAs). Standard text messaging rates apply.
Subscribers can select which alerts to receive including:
- Winter (all winter weather related occurrences)
- Flash Flood (only warnings)
- Severe Thunderstorm (warnings and/or watches)
- Tornado (warnings and/or watches)

Subscribers can modify their settings and unsubscribe at any time.
