Technician's Pocket Guide for KVH's TracPhone V7 and mini-VSAT Broadband Service Honored at the Society for Technical Communication's International Technical Publications Competition

MIDDLETOWN, RI - The TracPhone® V7 and mini-VSAT Broadbandsm service from KVH Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: KVHI), the new global standard for satellite communications, are increasingly recognized for their outstanding quality as an end-to-end satellite communications solution. This commitment was recently honored by the Society for Technical Communication (STC) with an "Award of Excellence" for the TracPhone V7 Technician's Pocket Guide at the STC's International Competition.

The STC's International awards are only given to those publications that have already received an Award of Distinguished Technical Communication at a regional competition (Middletown, RI-based KVH competes in the Boston/Northern New England region). Upon recognition in regional competition, technical publications must meet high standards in all or most of the areas judged in order to receive the Award of Excellence at the STC International Competition. They must clearly demonstrate an exceptional understanding of technical communication principles. The company has won several such awards since it began entering the competition in 2002, including another Award of Excellence for the TracVision® M7 Installation Guide from last year's contest.
