("Hawk Systems") (OTCBB: HWSY), a developer of proprietary biometric security technologies and solutions that protect people, places and assets, announced today the appointment of Michael Golden as new Chief Technical Advisor and President of Hawk Telematics, a division of Hawk Systems. Mr. Golden will lead the expansion of Hawk Systems' current patented and patent-pending technologies and manage all day-to-day operations of Hawk Telematics. Golden has 40 years experience in inventions and intellectual property creation in toys, telecommunications and wireless networks. Founder and CEO of SkyPipes Wireless, Mr. Golden is credited with inventing the first cordless phone, the first automated call distribution system, the first automated telemarketing system and several multi-billion dollar selling toys for Mattel Corporation. Mr. Golden received the Best Network Architecture award in 2000 from the International Engineering Consortium for his invention of the MetaRouter.

In 1996, Golden founded WarpSpeed Communications which created powerful real-time control-plane architecture for managing the backbone capacities of world class networks. In early 2000, WarpSpeed was acquired by Enron Broadband Services (EBS) and Golden became Chief Technology Officer assuming leadership of the 700 person team designing, constructing and deploying EBS's advanced network infrastructure. Despite Enron's unrelated management fiascos, Golden's control-plane technology was successfully integrated into EBS's infrastructure and delivered a worldwide control system for their bandwidth trading activities.
