Tracking, Mapping and Reporting App Helps Eradicate Graffiti and Other City Blights While Saving Cities Thousands...Without Using a Scrap of Paper!
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Graffiti Protective Coatings, Inc. announces its new product, Target GraffitiTM, a real-time communications app that combines the very latest innovative technologies of GPS and wireless communications into an all-in-one solution offering real-time web-based work order management with real-time graffiti tracking. It is the only real-time app on the market and offers web-based access and administration of work orders, real-time notification of work orders to technicians in the field, real-time GPS tagged photo uploading and the ability to create zones with city or county boundaries with its additional satellite capabilities. Target GraffitiTM allows technicians in the field to enter work order details and upload photos in real-time from a hand held iPhone device with the Target GraffitiTM app. The system can be modified for all Public Works and Code Enforcement activities and can be used to ID any number of city infractions, which, if not corrected, cost the cities and taxpayers plenty. The Citizens app, which will soon be available to download, is one of the most valuable tools empowering people to interact with city officials and become a more vital part of the community. Target GraffitiTM is now being used in Arizona, California and Nevada but is available for use anywhere and is quickly acquiring a broad-based audience as cities and other businesses grasp the value and cost savings this hand-held device offers.
"Target GraffitiTM makes it easy for law enforcement to identify and ultimately prosecute the taggers who create so much havoc and unrest in our communities," said Lt. Ron Stiso of the Tucson Police Department's Graffiti unit. "We are able to restore the beauty of our community while putting an end to quite a few of their tagging careers."
City Staff can enter the address of the new graffiti incident, click on the Calculate GEO Codes tab, and it will automatically geo tag the incident and automatically route it to the technician assigned to that zone. The technician will automatically be sent a text message to notify them they have a new work order. Field technicians are outfitted with an iPhone installed with the Target GraffitiTM iPhone application. From this handheld device, technicians can securely login to the application where they can view and map current work orders assigned to them. They can open each work order to get details about the site and they can enter information about the service performed (i.e. square footage cleaned, cleaning method used, notes, etc.) The technician can enter details about the work performed, which will be uploaded real-time to the Target GraffitiTM database. The technician will be able to enter work order details easily with the use of drop-down menus for easy selection for fields such as cleaning method, surface and moniker. Target GraffitiTM provides access to either designated law enforcement or city staff to review graffiti incidents in real-time. Once a technician has completed a graffiti incident, the information and photographs will be available immediately for review. City Staff can choose the "Graffiti Review Map" to select a date range and a specific "Moniker" and those incidents will automatically be mapped for review. In addition to entering details about the work performed, the technician can take unlimited photos from within the Target GraffitiTM iPhone app. The photos will automatically be GPS tagged and the technician can upload them immediately to the Target GraffitiTM database which will be available real-time to City/County Staff and Law Enforcement who could view details and photos relating to that work order.
Barry Steinhart, General Manager of Target GraffitiTM, believes the future is truly is in our hands, as hand-held technology is becoming the universal means of communications. "Cities have been spending millions using lesser technologies than ours," Steinhart says. "Now they can do everything by just pressing the app and the world will be a safer place than we ever imagined."
