JVC Launches Stylish Double-DIN Multimedia Solution

Las Vegas, USA, January, 7-10, 2010- JVC is introducing the KW-AVX830 double-DIN Bluetooth® Wireless Technology multimedia receiver, featuring built-in 7-inch widescreen touch panel monitor, Proximity Sensor, and a detachable face panel. The unit plays audio and video from iPod®/iPhoneTM as well as USB devices. Other features include GUI and song information in 10 languages, advanced EQ settings, and various GUI selections. HD Radio® and SAT Radio are also available with optional tuners.

Primary Features

Proximity Sensor

When your hand approaches, the screen activates and control keys appear. When left untouched, the keys disappear so you can concentrate on the main screen.

Detachable Face Panel

On leaving your car, you can detach the double-DIN face panel and carry it in the included case to guard against theft.

Built-in Bluetooth® Wireless Technology

The included wired microphone offers flexible settings for clear communication. The Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP) for iPhoneTM lets you automatically access your phone book without transfer. You can also manually transfer up to 400 numbers from compatible cell phones. Changing from hands-free to a private conversation can be done by a push of a key. You can also easily switch Bluetooth® connection between 2 phones, such as for business/private use.

USB Audio and Video for iPod®/iPhoneTM

USB connection for iPod®/iPhoneTM provides clear digital sound in full speed transfer, while also charging the device. You can also enjoy iPod®/iPhoneTM video with the optional KS-U30 cable.

The built-in 7-inch widescreen monitor offers dynamic AV entertainment, while also functioning as a user-friendly touch panel. You can select from 4 GUI (Graphical User Interface) patterns in 12-color variations. GUI and song information are available in 10 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish, Danish, and Russian.

In addition to iPod®/iPhoneTM, the unit plays MP3/WMA/WAV audio files and JPEG/MPEG1/2 video files from USB flash memory or a digital audio player by USB connection.

The KW-AVX830 features advanced EQ settings, which boosts the frequency ranges usually absorbed in the car, and adjusts the sound to best fit the human ear. You can enjoy dynamic sound even with ordinary speakers.

With optional tuners, you can enjoy a multitude of programs in premium digital sound on HD Radio® and SAT Radio.

The KW-AVX830 is available in March with an MSRP of $659.95
