2011 Sonata Featuring HD Radio Technology Hits Dealerships in January

WHAT: Hyundai continues to be an automotive pioneer and innovation leader by offering HD RadioTM Technology in the all-new 2011 Sonata. Arriving in dealerships in January 2010, the Hyundai Sonata will be the first popular midsize sedan to offer HD Radio Technology as part of its unique audio environment as a standard feature on the Sonata limited models. Hyundai showed off the feature recently at the LA Auto Show (see above picture).

Hyundai was an early leader in offering HD Radio Technology, and included the audio upgrade in the 2009 North American Car of the Year Award-winning Genesis.

WHY: With this digital infotainment, Sonata enthusiasts will be able to enjoy unique content and new channels in crystal-clear digital sound. HD Radio Technology offers more than 2,000 stations in the country broadcasting in digital, and over 1,000 HD2/HD3 channels - all for no subscription fee.

WHEN: The 2011 Sonata will be available in dealerships starting January 2010.
