Las Vegas, NV  (January 7, 2010) - Kenwood USA Corporation announced  its 2009 Excellence in Sales awards at its annual Sales Representative meeting at Bally's Hotel and Casino prior to the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.

Dave Hoag, Kenwood's Director of Sales for Mobile Electronics, said, "This last year was arguably the most challenging sales environment in the history of the mobile electronics industry.  These awards hold great significance in that they recognize our top performing reps that were able to navigate through this harsh environment and exceed our expectations in the process.  As in prior years, Kenwood evaluated each rep's dealer development, quota attainment, territory leadership and problem-solving when choosing the award recipients.   Through consistent achievement of aggressive sales metrics, a complete re-structuring of the territory distribution model and focused expansion within the direct dealer base, Kenwood chose Florida-territory rep company M.A.G Sales for its 2009 Rep of the Year."

For 2009, Kenwood added an Excellence in Administration award to recognize the important behind-the-scenes work performed by interoffice personnel who manage day-to-day affairs and help to drive sales activity.  "This award reflects how we view the people who support the sales managers in the field," said Hoag.  "They help us to be our best and we could not function without them.  Our first Excellence in Administration award is given to Lisa Weadock of Sunbelt Associates, who is not only an exceptional administrator but a great people manager who always gives her best.  We appreciate all she does for Sunbelt and Kenwood."
