Kenwood Announces Comprehensive Dealer Support And Business Programs For 2010
Categories: Industry News
Las Vegas, NV (January 7, 2010) - Kenwood USA Corporation announced its 2010 plan for supporting its dealer network at its annual Sales Representative meeting held at Bally's Hotel and Casino prior to the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.
Dave Hoag, Kenwood's Director of Sales for Mobile Electronics, said "Kenwood is the preferred brand in the mobile electronics industry for many reasons including the successful business and support programs delivered to our customers starting at CES and continuing throughout the year. No doubt, 2010 promises to be another challenging year. . . To hit it head-on, Kenwood has crafted a wide-ranging business plan including significant merchandising support while providing tangible sell-in and sell-through promotional opportunities designed to build customer traffic and profits."
Kenwood's annual Spring Promotion kicks off the year and runs from January 1 through April 30. "The Spring Promotion affects scheduled orders written to a four-month target," said Hoag. "By planning their Kenwood business, dealers receive enhanced payment terms and additional profitability. It's a proven formula that helps dealers get started with the new product in a dynamic way, and by participating in our other programs running concurrent to the Spring Promotion, dealers are able to profit even more."
A unique incentive program that has received great praise over the past four years is Kenwood's "Grow & Go" promotion that rewards dealers, who achieve a six-month sales target from January 1 to June 30, with a resort vacation for two. "The Grow & Go really gets people excited because after a busy selling season, everyone is ready to relax and have fun with their Kenwood friends," said Hoag. "The six-month target represents growth from the previous year, and each dealer keeps that target in sight through the Spring Promotion and then into June. This program is lucrative in two primary ways; Kenwood dealers drive their yearly business more profitably, and upon qualification, receive an all-expense-paid resort vacation for two in October, which we find is the perfect time to decompress while sipping on a cocktail, or two."
While sell-in programs are popular, they are made even more effective by having a plan for incentives that drive sell-through. Kenwood plans to conduct a third-year consumer rebate program with navigation leader Garmin that offers consumers up to $150.00 off the purchase of a qualifying Kenwood integrated multimedia/navigation product. For dealer sales and installation staff, Kenwood will conduct an HD Radio rewards program that puts product, wearables and other cool items into the hands of those who support Kenwood's new KDC-HD545U CD receiver with integrated HD Radio technology. To drive the sell-through of all product categories, Kenwood will conduct its historically-successful X-Rewards program to keep salespeople and installers excited and doing their best to sell Kenwood products.
Kenwood will conduct multiple sales incentives that make sense and are indexed to the time of the season. "Kenwood is proactively crafting mid / end-of-year programs designed to be easily promoted and executed," said Hoag. "For instance, Kenwood is planning a rearview backup-camera promotion in July and August during a time when there are more children than ever running in the streets. In the Fall, we will be offering yet another sell-in program that helps dealers take advantage of back-to-school and pre-holiday consumer purchase activity. During the Black Friday and model close-out periods, we will offer promoting Kenwood dealers very attractive profit opportunities as we have in years past."
Details on these and other programs are available from all Kenwood Representatives and Sales Management.
