CTIA Wireless 2010

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As wireless innovations continue to influence everyday life, this year, International CTIA WIRELESS 2010® will turn the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center into "Innovation Hall." International CTIA WIRELESS will take place March 23-25. Partner events will begin Monday, March 22.

"We're entering the ‘Mobile Decade' - where the things we do every day will include a mobile technology component. Innovation Hall will provide attendees with a venue to see the latest innovations in health, energy, retail and other growing vertical segments."

Innovation Hall will house CTIA's morning keynote sessions, afternoon networking receptions and three specialty zones: Apps World, the Retail Zone and the Emerging Technology Zone.

Apps World will host companies demonstrating the newest mobile content and platforms, social networking and application delivery solutions, along with learning centers that will foster education within the developer community. The Retail Zone will provide retailers with a one-stop shop for all things retail - from mobile solutions that make the business of retail more efficient, to accessories and other wireless products in high demand.

The Emerging Technology Zone will give attendees a glimpse into the future of mobility spanning vertical markets and is comprised of the following pavilions:

  • Wireless Health - featuring health products and applications that remotely monitor patients, manage health records, provide medical inventory tracking and support all-around physical wellness;
  • Smarter Planet - showcasing sustainable products and services contributing to a greener community like solutions for refurbishing and repurposing devices, as well as solar and environmentally-friendly power solutions;
  • Safe Driving Solutions - displaying the latest technology to combat driver distraction and featuring live demos on a track at the convention center;
  • Launch Pad - providing a platform for start-up companies to debut their products and ideas; and
  • Emerging Technology Awards Showcase - displaying the products and services entered in the E-Tech Awards competition, which will recognize mobile products and services in six categories: consumer electronics, mobile applications, luxury mobile, enterprise and vertical markets, green solutions and network infrastructure.

"To celebrate the great strides in mobile technology, we've turned the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center into ‘Innovation Hall,' where attendees will be able to see some of the industry's fastest-growing markets," said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director for CTIA.
