Wednesday, January 05, 2011 -- Audiovox Corp. has announced the introduction of an upgrade module that turns a basic factory keyless entry system into a vehicle security and remote start system. In addition, the company announced that it has upgraded its Prestige line of remote start/security systems with features such as longer range operation and a new transmitter design.

For its new AS9233ST upgrade factory keyless entry system remote start/security upgrade, there is no separate security or remote start system required and no additional keychain transmitter is required. The existing keyless entry transmitter can control the security and remote start features.

The ASP233ST will accept up to four remote transmitters, comes with a glass mount antenna with built-in LED lights and valet switch. It has a dual-stage shock sensor (lite touch – full touch), starter interrupt output with relay included, onboard relay for flashing lights and start confirmation with parking light flash. This system also comes with two one-button StartStick transmitters that allow for extended range use (beyond the range of the factory keyless transmitter). MSRP is $279.99.

Audiovox also launched its 2011 upgraded Prestige remote start and security line to its distributors and 12-volt retailers. Included in the new line are features such as long-range operation up to 1-mile, push-button LED/Vvalet antenna, Hybrid mode, DBI Tach mode/processor update, 45 and 60 minute run times and selectable trigger circuit. The new systems also feature new design elements that include metal chrome transmitters.

The SS9000, 2-way 900MHz up to 1-mile long range LCD command confirming remote start, keyless entry and security system is Audiovox’s flagship model in its 2010 lineup. Operating on the 900MHz spread spectrum, this system will remote start a vehicle, lock or unlock doors and provide security. The metal two-way LCD display command confirming transmitter confirms every action the user takes. The system offers single or two user programmable separate control options, has a glass-mount antenna with a built-in LED light and valet switch, intrusion alert with memory, cold temperature start mode, dual stage shock sensor (pre-detect, full trigger and city mode), Telematics Port (Carlink ready), DBI Port (Plug-in Flash Logic by-pass compatible), starter interrupt, trunk release and more. Audiovox said MSRP for this model is $699.99.

The SS6900 is the company’s 900Mhz 1-mile long range LCD command confirming remote start and keyless entry system. This system operates on the 900MHz spread spectrum and comes with a single five-button metal two-way rechargeable LCD command confirming transmitter and a single five-button metal one way remote control. This system features programmable transmitter notifications, safe start RF control, selectable automatic run times, multiple vehicle capable, Hybrid vehicle compatible, combination remote start safety control valet programmable push button LED switch, Telematics Port (Carlink ready), DBI Port (Plug-in Flash Logic by-pass compatible), starter interrupt, trunk release and more. MSRP is $549.99 for this model.
