CES 2011: Clarion Adds HD Radio Capability in Many 2011 Car Audio Source Units

Clarion Corp. introduces five new CD source units with more HD Radio compatibility and more connectivity options. The flagship CZ model, the CZ501, offers built-in Bluetooth for hands-free calling and audio streaming, USB and AUX connections and is HD Radio Ready. This unit also features a two-line display, also found on the CZ401 and CZ301.

CES 2011: Audiovox Introduces CarLink Smartphone App for Controlling Vehicle Remote Start/Security and Convenience Featu

Audiovox Corp. announced that it has begun shipping its new CarLink smartphone interface module. This system lets a smartphone communicate with an automobile from virtually anywhere, the company stated. The new CarLink system enables users to control remote start and keyless entry features with two-way notification and comes equipped with a "find" feature for locating automobiles in crowded parking areas.

CES 2011: Pioneer Expands Pandora Integration in New In-dash Units

New to its CD player line, Pandora capability is integrated into two units, the DEH-P6300UB and the DEH-P8300UB. With a connected iPhone, users can view and select Pandora stations stored on their Pandora account directly on the CD player and use other functions in the Pandora app, such as pausing and skipping tracks, bookmarking songs and/or artists, and thumbing up or down the currently playing song. These units also feature Pioneer's Advanced Sound Retriever technology.
