CES 2011: Directed Electronics Introduces Viper SmartStart GPS
Directed Electronics' Viper SmartStart GPS is the latest generation of the company's Viper SmartStart 2.0 Module with GPS, and can be added to virtually any Viper security or remote start system, according to the company. Viper SmartStart GPS has all the features of the current Viper SmartStart platform including the Viper Motor Club, SmartPark and compatibility with iPhone, BlackBerry and Android smartphones, but adds GPS capabilities that allow users to know where there vehicle is at all times.

CES 2011: Audiovox Introduces CarLink Smartphone App for Controlling Vehicle Remote Start/Security and Convenience Featu
Audiovox Corp. announced that it has begun shipping its new CarLink smartphone interface module. This system lets a smartphone communicate with an automobile from virtually anywhere, the company stated. The new CarLink system enables users to control remote start and keyless entry features with two-way notification and comes equipped with a "find" feature for locating automobiles in crowded parking areas.

It is hard to believe that it has been over a year since the release of the Droid. If you had told me that I would have been able to completely integrate myself and my life to one new device last year I would have told you were nuts. I never thought I would have been so excited about a new phone. A long time ago TiVo changed my life and now a new operating system called "Android" has done the same.
