Soundstream; To Cap Or T Cell... That Is The Question!

THAT IS THE QUESTION! After years of large capacitors being on the market, they still remain a mystery to many... Often called a "power cap" or "stiffening cap", some people prefer caps over adding a second battery and vice versa. So, which product is a smarter choice? NEITHER! A second battery is a great option for high power systems, but should be accompanied by an upgraded alternator that can efficiently charge both batteries. This can get really expensive. A capacitor is similar to a battery but can charge and discharge in a fraction of a second depending on size. The cap has the ability to empty itself almost instantly on transient notes in music material. However, it does not have the stamina that a battery has and is not an equivalent substitute. Our Cap Cells are a fusion of both products. The Cap Cell offers auxiliary power with the ability to enhance the transient notes, often suppressed in car audio systems with an OEM battery, while being able to reinforce the battery during long, intense bass notes. A second alternator is not necessary, making the Cap Cell a perfect addition and an affordable way to...

The G3 vehicle specific mounting bracket is small, stylish and incorporates unique features never before offered. The VSM G3 design marks a radical change from earlier mount designs developed by Pro.Fit International, each of which has set new installation standards dating back to the early 90's. Attaching to the dash behind the trim as previous VSM versions have, the changes in the G3 design become very apparent when mounted. The stainless bracket extends just beyond the front of the dash with only a small molded ball visible. This feature makes the bulky, industrial looking mounts a thing of the past. The molded ball performs two functions: it is the point at which the interchangeable components are attached, and it creates the ball and socket joint which allows users to move, remove or reposition their electronics. The new VSM G3 can be seen along with additional information and images at: www.pro-fit-intl.com Contents include: G3 mounting bracket, A Plate, J Stem, complete instructions Pro.Fit International is a leading manufacturer of universal and custom mounting solutions for securing mobile electronics within vehicles. Professional mounting solutions are...

Miller will facilitate two seminars, "Trends that Impact Automotive Wiring Harness Design" and "Problems with Miniaturization on Automotive Wire Harness Production" in the Main Seminar Room, Hall B, Third Floor at the expo. Miller says consumer demand and competitive pressures are forcing vehicle manufacturers to add a growing number of innovative features to their vehicles, which is greatly affecting electrical/electronic architecture and components. These seminars will review examples of past component innovation that drove major change, discuss current component trends affecting connectors, terminals and seals, and cable and their impact on existing processes. One particular product, Delphi's Halogen Free Ultra Thin-Wall Cable, delivers what vehicle manufacturers are looking for today. It is environmentally friendly and highly durable, yet significantly thinner and lighter than traditional cable. It also significantly exceeds SAE and ISO testing standards for abrasion, can...

They took a mountainous dirt road that began getting rough and difficult to drive on. When it began to rain, the couple found they couldn't go back the way they came because dry streambeds were filling with water and washing the road out. It was getting dark and they failed to find an alternate road out. The Golashes, who are in their sixties, decided to spend the night in their truck and wait for the rain to stop. Being experienced hunters and outdoorsmen, the couple pulled together enough food, clothing and blankets for the night. They even captured rainwater as a safeguard. But their most comforting assurance was having an ACR Electronics MicroFix TM 406 MHz GPS Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) with them. The rain continued throughout the night. The next morning, Ken walked up to a higher elevation and unsuccessfully attempted to get cell phone service. At 10 a.m., he and his wife made the decision to activate their satellite detectable beacon. They knew it was a signaling device...
